  1. I believe the American Dream is feeling happy with your life & finding the true meaning of living. Some people just want riches & others just like painting, we're all different, we all have different dreams and aspirations. The American Dream is different for everyone, to me.

  2. The American dream would be having fun and doing what ever you want to in life. Having a job that you enjoy and like going to everyday. Having the cars , money and family around you soaking up the fun it brings you.

  3. The American ream to me is doing what you want to do with your life, and doing whatever makes you happy. Whether that is being rich and having several nice cars or just barely getting by and still going to parties every night. Whatever makes you happy is what the American Dream is to me.

  4. The American Dream to me is something that everyone wants to be and have. Its like being rich and having everything you want, but remember its still a dream. Its something you want to have in the future, but in real life you wont be as lucky, unless your one of those spoiled kids. The American Dream will only be in your head, but that is where all good thoughts stay so then you can be happy.

  5. @j.lin : I agree with you. I think that the American Dream is what you really want for you and your future and not just about having everything because money doesn't always make people happy at the end of the day.

  8. @ZMoll. I totally agree with you. As long as you're doing something that makes you happy Is the american dream. You should be doing something that makes you happy and you like to wake up in the morning to go do.

  10. The American dream to me is beauty in itself just the concept of the possibility of your dreams coming true is the American dream. So many people think the American dream is to just be happy but to me. The American dream is to step on people to get to where you need to be but help then when you finally get there. To be happy is to simple for America WE MUST BE PERFECT! (lol jkjk)

  13. In my opinnion, an American dream is something you believe in. It represents who you are and what you want to accomplish in life. Its what you think about everyday on your own without people changing it for you. An american dream is a battle you want to fight for and win everyday without others destroying it. I know this may sound cheezy and everyone says it but in my opinnion the person that i can think of is Dr.Martin Luther king. He is and will always be my role model. He fought for equal rights and freedom. No matter how much they sprayed him with hoses or locked him up in jail, He would always come back out fighting no matter what the consequences were. If you love your dream so much, fight for it no matter what because in the end you will look back on everything and say "it was worth it".

  14. @jdilan. I disagree with you to an extinct. I do agree with you that having a dream "would be having fun and doing what ever you want to in life"- quoated by you. But i disagree on the part about money. Money shouldnt be a main part of any dream in my opinnion because having all the money in the world will get anybody no where in life. Yes, you are able to pay for so much things and dont have to worry about nothing at all. But, having all of it can lead to depression because you will not be able to tell wheither people would like you for you or the money and stuff that you have. My strong opinion is I will rather stay the way i am and work hard for it then have everything I ever wanted and live alone.

  15. @ Most: Many of you have mentioned the same thing that I agree with, the American Dream is being able to do what you love, but I also think it's about having security, and the knowledge that you don't have to worry about having not having a home, or starving. something sadly, a lot of Americans are not living.

  16. I believe the definition of the American dream is to follow your dreams and do what you always wanted to do in life. An example of someone who followed their dream would be Mac Miller. Not too long ago he was an unknown rapper, now he is one of the most famous and everyone knows about him.

What is your American dream? I feel like the American dream is only meant to come true for some people. When you say we are all different that's when I wonder why we can all just be happy with how we are when we are born. We all want to be rich but in reality there has to be poor people in order for there to be rich. I feel like an example of the American dream is DJ BoBo he is a DJ that was born in Germany to a poor family and now works in Los Vegas and has one of the most popular show on the strip

  20. For me, the American Dream is following your dreams and reaching your goals. Some people wanna be Doctors, Lawyers, Scientist. Some people have dreams of being President. A person I feel was a success story was President Barack Obama. The first black president of the united states. He had to endure many types of racism, But he kept on striving and went and made his dream a reality. Thats what I call an American Dream.

  21. @S.Dozier : Wiz...that's my boosky :)In my opinion, he's so happy because of that 11 million he made; because he's recognized by people worldwide; because he has Amber Rose on his side. I bet if you had the money and Amber on your side, you'd be the happiest man on earth too!

  22. @A.sosa What you are saying is true, there are many problems in this world, and its true that our world wont be perfect. But the American Dream is only a dream and isn't nothing like reality.

  24. @herdman One guy that I truly believe had a dream, i dont know if its was for america' dream , but it was a dream that came true for many people. He truly believe in what he wanted, he went to jail for what he believed in. Even though he died a bit right after he made his speech, many people still remember him and the great speech he made.

  25. @ALabert I do agree that the American dream is about doing what you always wanted to do in life. I think Taylor Swift is also like Mac Miller because she also was a person who started off local but eventually became one of the most famous singers.

  27. I believe the American dream is a person having everything they want. Like a house, a car, married, a dream job, and they have money. The American dream to me is someone just having a happy life and having everything they want.

  28. I think the American dream is something you want to achieve in life. Everyone has a goal in life, to do better. But in some case others don't try to achieve a thing. They lay back as life goes on, they don't try to better themselves. As in other cases, people do try to get a better education, better life, and better jobs.

An example of a man who has achieved all his American goals is Obama. He fought to get on top of the polls. Through all the troubles that has happened, he stood there and tried to fix it. Obama is very accomplished, and has done allot for America.

  29. WOw, you really had a good point ARoss when you stated that "but I also think it's about having security, and the knowledge that you don't have to worry about having not having a home, or starving. something sadly, a lot of Americans are not living. "

It is sad, but depending on what is going on in our country at the time, our dreams might be minimal and therefore only practical rather than farfetched!! Sad but true!
