Proctor stated that “There are wheels within wheels and fires within fires…” in our lives. (revenge drama, grudges, haters that inspire hatred to the point of chaos)
Is this true? If you believe so, you may want to share an example or a personal experience that you may have had with such an issue.

ReplyDeleteThe statement Proctor had stated is very true. For example in The Crucible Abigail had such a huge hatred towards Elizabeth because she thought that Elizabeth was blackening her name in the village. But in reality she just wanted to get Elizabeth out of the picture so she can be with John. So to get with John she had told everyone that she had saw Elizabeth with the devil and she was a witch. Her lies had gotten so big that many innocent people were hung for being “witches”. Everything turned into chaos. The statement Proctor had stated is very true. ReplyDeleteI agree with you. This statment is very true. A good example is n school, our own school. kids always feed into the drama and make it worse. Every time there is a fight you see a crowd of kids/students run to the secene of a huge fight and as soon as they are all there they start yelling and fussing cheering on the fight trying to get it started the feed into the hate and the drama that is typical in high school. everyone in their life reaches a point were they run into hate drama especially due to people holding grudges that should've been let go awhile ago.Don't you agree that school is a great example?
@A.sosa. I also agree with you about how high school is full of drama just like the village. Kids feed off of drama and many kids are scared to be different because its easier just to follow everyone else. For example many kids make fun of how others dress and what they wear becaue usually there isnt other people dressed like them and in the village the girls had a expectation on what they wore and how they acted and i feel like its like that in high school as well.
ReplyDeleteWhat Proctor had stated is very true, not only in the play but in real life. In the Crucible, Abigail had such a strong hatred for Elizabeth she held a grudge against her. Abigail cast a 'spell' on Elizabeth so she could have John all to herself. This can also, very easily relate to real life in many different ways. For example, girls hold grudges on other girls because they're dating the guy they like. There's no real reason for this, it's just all jealousy. Then this causes fights and people to get hurt, which isn't right.
ReplyDeleteI believe this is very true because not everyone will like you. You will find people in this world that you will clash with. For an example, I used to have a problem with this one girl, and we argued all the time and we could never agree on anything. This is the wheels within wheels and fires within fires.
ReplyDeleteA2Kovah. YOu are entirely correct in your correlation btwn Abigail's love triangle and the ones, although on a smaller scale, in school today. Don't you find it ironic the, that it was John who said this too? Am I the only one who finds this to be verbally ironic?
ReplyDelete@Lavelle. We aren't really talking about such superficial things as clothing drama, but more on the level that there are plots of revenge around us even today.. How are there plots of revenge in high school today? And how do they breed new ones?
ReplyDeleteFor example, Sosa tries to break up her friend and her friend's boyfriend because she doesn't think he "is good for her." So the...... (help me out here....)
ReplyDelete@A Negri: "wheels within wheels" means that there are problems that push other ones into action. That is, there is a chain reaction of drama. One starts another and so on.. Redeem yourself by responding to my above prompt..
ReplyDelete@herdman: I feel that is is ironic that John is the one who said this. I think it could be a form of foreshadowing how the play is going to turn out. With all the drama and lies Abigail started, it was just fate to turn out bad.

ReplyDeleteKalavel... Thanks for agreeing with me your example gose great with mine and my opoin on our high school drama. Its a circle of life not everyone in life is going to like you you simly should ask "is it worth it" to even care?? feed into the pitty hate that leads to stressful drama. Lifes to short to be full of hate n grudges its better to laugh it off or ignore it but in our generation thats one thing i doubt well ever happen.
ReplyDeleteI feel that there is hatred and drama in every ones life no matter who you may be. Its something that is bound to happen and is like a chain reaction or a roller coaster. It may be there one day and not the next. Something may happen that leads to something that leads to drama! It is not something you can avoid it will fallow you, try to break you down emotionally and physically.
ReplyDeleteBut why are there haters? What's all the hate about and why are some of them on a mission to stir up problems or revenge?
